To participate in this tour, guests must be able to perform the following movements: For Antelope Canyon – Can you walk on slanted, uneven sandstone and loose sand? Can you climb up and down steep metal ladders/stairs – some with railings? Antelope Canyon is not strenuous but does require agility, balance and grip. For Horseshoe Bend – Visiting this overlook requires a 1.5 mile round trip walk on a dirt path with no shade. *Additional notes for Antelope Canyon – Masks are required, service animals are not allowed, purses/backpacks are not allowed unless they are clear, tripods are not allowed, hiking poles are not allowed.

What To Expect

Route 66

From the Phoenix/Scottsdale area, our route takes us through the Sonoran Desert up into the picturesque mountain town of Flagstaff. This historic Route 66 town lies at the base of the largest mountain range in Arizona, the San Francisco Peaks, which we will be able to gaze upon as we continue to travel north to the Lake Powell region.

Navajo Trail Trading Post

Along our way, we will enjoy a visit to a Navajo Trading Post and explore Navajo culture and their intricate crafts.

Lower Antelope Canyon

Upon arrival to Page, Arizona, we will begin our tour of spectacular Lower Antelope Canyon. Here we will tour Lower Antelope Canyon with a local Navajo guide who will lead you through the amazing natural formations of this world-famous slot canyon. The photo opportunities will be second to none! In addition to touring Lower Antelope Canyon, we also include photo stops along the majestic Lake Powell shoreline before stopping for a group lunch in Page at one of their unique eateries.

Horseshoe Bend

After our time in Antelope Canyon and Page, we will embark upon a scenic one-mile walk to Horseshoe Bend Overlook which is highlighted by awe-inspiring views into this deeply carved channel and the Colorado River below. Photos from the edge of this natural beauty are widespread across the world and are nothing short of amazing.

The tour was Spectacular. It's a must if you go to Phienix/Tempe or Scottsdale Arizona, take this tour. Antelope Canyon is amazing. You'll love it. Our tour Leader & driver from Detour was amazing. The Tour picked us up at our hotel and they provided us with Bfast at Starbucks Flagstaff & also Lunch at the canyon. Everything is Fab.

Amazing!! The entire tour was nothing short of spectacular!! Our driver Jennifer was wonderful and kept us informed as to where we were going and what we were seeing. She is excellent! Our tour guide Clint was the most entertaining guide we have ever had in any tour we have taken! He is also very knowledgeable and made everything so much fun while also regaling us with facts and immersing us in the nature that was all around us!!! If there is any suggestions we would give, it's to maybe have a provided lunch for private tours. We thought lunch was provided, but apparently not. Other than that, Detours IS the Best, bar none!!! Highly recommend!!
