We had a blast with our captain JJ! He even pointed out an eagle ray that was passing by for us to see. Definitely recommend!

First banana boat ride. Captain JJ was great and had a great attitude. Get reservations early in the morning to get early bird specials rates.

I paid $113 CDN for my 11 yrs old daughter and I to ride the Banana Boat for approximately 8 mins in total. To provide some context, I paid about $115 for both of us to take a 3 hours snorkelling and shell collecting boat ride/tour that was amazing through Destin Snorkel! This ride on the banana boat was awful, they paired us up with 4 thrill seaking individuals who wanted to go super fast while we did not. I felt like I was holding on for my life. I also fell off, lost my Ray Ban prescription sunglasses which no one told me I should take off before, I also lost an earing because when you fall off this banana boat, you hit the water with a certain force. I will never recommend nor take this ever again.

Sorry to hear you did not enjoy your ride. Just for context our US Dollar prices start at $30 per person and go up to $40 so quoting Canadian Dollar prices for our activity and US prices for the snorkel tour is a bit deceiving. Also, our banana boat rides last for 12-14 minutes at 15 mph max speed. Our captains are 5 STAR rated for being very courteous and customer friendly. We agree that Destin Snorkel is a wonderful tour but not the same as a banana boat ride.
