Small Group Boat, Kayak and Walking Guided Eco Tour in Everglades National Park

Overview
This very popular eco-adventure and combines the best of a boat tour, a kayak tour and a walking tour in a single great learning experience. Depending on the season, you can encounter manatees, dolphins, sea turtles, bald eagles, ospreys, herons, egrets, pelicans, roseate spoonbills and/or numerous species of fish and shore birds. A very comfortable transport boat will bring you deep into Everglades National Park with your Florida Master Naturalist guide. Once at the first destination, the tour slows down using very stable, comfortable kayaks to get you close to the flora and fauna. Imagine paddling next to a manatee or a dolphin! (No previous kayaking experience is required and there are single and two-person kayaks on every tour). Continue your interpretive experience with a walking tour on remote, pristine barrier island beach … a beach that is seldom visited by others.

We had a great time with our boat captain and guide, Don. We boated amongst the dolphins and they would even "surf" behind the boat! Don was very knowledgeable and led us on a kayaking trip through the mangroves into a "hidden lake" as well as a hike on a beach. As we headed back in to shore, the water fowl were settling on an island to roost for the evening.. I highly recommend the tour.

Came to the Gulf Coast Everglades for my wife's birthday and this tour was by far the highlight of the 4-Day Weekend. Capt Don was full of great info and went out of his way to give us the best tour possible. Right from the start we had Dolphins playing in the boat wake, Osprey and Bald Eagles perching, tons of Pelicans, Egrets of all varieties and many many more birds. After a wonderful boat ride and nature discussion we hiked around Some nearby keys while Capt Don filled us in on the history of the area and the Calusa Indian Shell mounds. We follwed that up with a relaxing and fun kayak to some nearby keys and more nature hiking and history. Back on the boat just in time to catch some Dolphin mating behavior and then even more wake jumping and frolicking from them. Finished up with a visit to some beautiful Osprey and Eagle nests and a nearby Egret Rookery. Wow, what a day. Highly recommended and definitely ask for Capt Don!!!
