Small-Group Clear Kayak Tour in Shell Key

Overview
We've created a fascinating kayak tour in St Pete, centered on our Crystal Clear kayaks, giving you a fascinating look at the sea life throughout Shell Key preserve, and Fort Desoto park. Our professional guides provide an interesting narration of the local wildlife and ecosystem. The tours can range from 2 persons to 16 people, and are approximately 2 to 2 -1/2  hours long.  The tours will primarily operate in the protected waters and mangroves tunnels of the Shell Key Wildlife Preserve in Pinellas County. An 1,800 acre preserve, these waters are well traveled by Dolphins, Manatees, Rays, as well as a variety of shore birds, including pelicans, egrets, herons, cormorants, osprey, and sometimes roseate spoonbills.

Right from the start we had a great experience. Kasara, our guide was amazing and interacted with us along the way. She was knowledgeable and answered lots of questions the kids had. Along the way birds followed us closely diving for fish. They swim close to and under the kayak which is fun to watch. When we arrived at the island we saw a manatee which thrilled the kids. The way back was easier as the wind and current were more cooperative. We had forgotten our cooler and so Kasara arranged for someone to bring us cold waters when we arrived at the shore. A++ from our crowd.

My girlfriend and I were here at St. Pete for vacation, and this was the most exciting thing we did! It was just perfect from start to finish, and so peaceful. We went at 9:30 and must’ve seen about 10 dolphins! The group we were supposed to go with canceled, so it was just my girlfriend, and I, and the tour guide. (Our own private tour) The stop at Shell Key was beautiful and so fun because it was like we had our own private island! Our tour guide was so sweet, and educated us all about the wild life. She took pictures for us, and made the trip so much more enjoyable. If you are in town, and looking for a fun, adventurous activity, I would definitely recommend this excursion!

The experience was so much fun! My wife and I had a great time, and Kasara was a fantastic tour guide. We were glad we chose the morning, as it was a little cooler, and it made exploring that much more fun.
