Snowshoe John did a wonderful job taking us to little known areas and keeping us away from the crowds. (We were there on the 4th of July) He stopped for a break in the morning so we could buy water, coffee, and use the restroom. He set up a table with fresh fruit, breads, bagels and coffee cakes for breakfast. I forgot to buy water which was a problem since the area is so dry. We had a wonderful picnic lunch with sandwiches, salads, chips, carrot cake, wine, beer and soft drinks. Snowshoe John had a couple of jugs of water and cups for us, but you need to bring your own water! The mosquitos were out in force so apply bug spray often. The beauty of the area is well known and did not disappoint. Snowshoe stopped several places where we could get out and walk and explore and even showed us a place where we could drink right out of the creek! What a wonderful experience!

This trip is well worth every penny. Because Snowshoe John was driving, I actually got to relax and enjoy the incredible views with my family. I hear Pikes Peak is pretty, as is the road to Hana, but as I had to white knuckle drive those I didn’t get to see any of them. John’s knowledge of the area is encyclopedic. He made lots of stops to take photos and have bathroom breaks. He also provided delicious snacks and lunch for all. The best endorsement of the day is that not once did any of my teenage daughters say that they were bored! Absolutely awesome from start to finish!!!
