Small-Group Everglades Boating Kayaking and Walking Eco Tour

Overview
We are the "Quiet Alternative to an Airboat Ride". A boating, kayaking and walking tour in Everglades National Park. Our most popular tour!
Park at our shop, a local historic building.
With your Florida Master Naturalist Guide, you will take a short golf cart ride to your boat.
On the boat, while searching for dolphins, manatees, sea turtles, rosette spoonbills, herons, egrets, ospreys, eagles and shore birds, learn about the Everglades different ecosystems, its long history and rich culture.
At 1st sheltered destination, we will deploy very stable kayaks. The stealth of the kayak allows you to get close to the flora and fauna.
Our next destination is an uninhabited barrier island beach where you will be led on a leisurely, hands-on walking tour. Expect to see more seashells than you ever have.
After the walk, we are back in the kayaks, then the boat, then the golf cart and back to home base

Note: June through October, we suggest the morning experiences due to the weather.

This place was amazing the tour guide Don was extremely knowledgeable. We got to see so much wildlife and truly enjoyed our experience! They were very accommodating and when they didn’t have someone for their 8:30 kayak tour they have us different options to move to with no increased cost to us.

If you're looking for an authentic nature experience, this isnt it. We weren't told we could have been picked up at our hotel which lead to rushing through breakfast and $25 parking fee. Drive around miami and to park was fine. Some nice historical info. Guide was pleasant. Ride is on a large airboat. Could probably accommodate 40 + people, though group more like 15 to 20. It was fine, short, and through an area of canals dug by army corps. Can't say of representative of rest of everglades or not. Alligator show was fine. Little circus like, but nothing really wrong with that. They do provide a sanctuary for Gators that would otherwise be destroyed, so thats good. Best for families with small kids.

Great tour! Captain Dan was extremely knowledgeable about the area and shared the information throughout the tour - in the boat, in the kayaks, and on the shore. I could follow him around all day! I even found a large piece of Calusa Indian pottery when we were on Rabbit Key.
