What To Expect
1
Route 66
After departing the Phoenix metro area, our tour travels through the expansive Sonoran Desert filled with the native saguaro cactus. The scenery begins to change as we increase in elevation and views of the cactus fade into pine trees. As we continue further into Northern Arizona, we will travel the outskirts of the Route 66 town of Flagstaff and from the highway, see the San Francisco Peaks among the seemingly endless Ponderosa Pine Forest, the largest contiguous forest of ponderosa pines in the world.
2
Williams Depot
Williams will be our first stop along the tour for a chance to experience Route 66, the iconic American highway steeped in rich tradition. While in Williams, guests will have the opportunity to “get their kicks on Route 66” with walks along the original route, explore the local shops and capture souvenir photos highlighting a bygone era in classic American history. Also known as the Will Rodgers Highway, Route 66 is the most recognizable road in the United States and stretched 2,448 miles from Chicago to California upon completion.
3
Grand Canyon National Park
Just before entering the Grand Canyon National Park, you will be checked in for your 45 minute helicopter flight, spanning over 90 miles of the Grand Canyon. After your flight, your guide will bring you back into the National Park to discover more by foot. You will have opportunities to walk the rim, shop, capture an unlimited number of photographs, or relax with the best seat in the house. Your total time at Grand Canyon including the helicopter and walking is approximately 3 hours, with approximately 1-1.5 hours on the rim walking.

We were thinking of driving from our hotel to the Grand Canyon, but this trip picked us up and dropped us off from our hotel and we got to rest while someone else drove. The tour was on a small bus with seating for about 15. Our guide Daniel was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable giving us historical and cultural information on our journey. We had frequent, well timed comfort and leg stretching stops. We originally booked for just the round trip to the south rim, but had the opportunity to add on the helicopter ride and so we decided to go for it. Daniel arranged everything and dropped us of and picked us back up again. The helicopter ride was out of this world. They record your flight and you can purchase a copy afterwards. Our trip to the south rim continued by road and again we were treated to all the best views. We opted for the packed lunch option which allowed us to eat whilst travelling. It was an additional cost, but it was delicious, and made to order for our driver to collect at a store at one of our rest stops. If you take the helicopter ride bear in mind that your stop at the south rim will be shorter, but there is plenty of time to take great photos and do a bit of shopping. The journey back had plenty of stops and the driver just put on background music and I think most people fell asleep, exhausted from their exciting day. This is a very long trip from Phoenix pick being around 6am from hotels and drop off from 7:30pm. This was well worth it! A great way to see the great natural wonder, learn about history and culture and all in a pretty intimate friendly environment. Thank you Daniel for our wonderful day!

We are delighted to hear that you got to experience the thrilling helicopter ride. It is truly life-changing and a once in a life time experience to view this natural wonder up from the sky. You said it best, it really is out of this world! Our guides know all the gorgeous roads and view points up at the national park so it is no surprise that you were surrounded by them! Honestly, just about any view up at this place is beautiful. We always recommend the lunch to cut down on hassle of time and packing your own lunch. A long day but worthwhile indeed. We hope to see you again very soon, we've got plenty more locations in the Southwest for you to visit!

Mark served as an incredibly friendly and knowledgeable driver and tour guide in the luxury shuttle from Phoenix to the Grand Canyon and back. We really enjoyed the helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon as well. I’d say it’s the only way to see it.
