Small-Group Malibu Wine Hike

Overview
The hike is a guided 2.5 mile loop around the property where you will get to walk through the vines, see amazing views, visit our Chumash Native American cave paintings, and explore our organic garden. The hike is considered easy to moderate with about 300 feet of elevation gain and loss. This tour is open for all ages, however due to the terrain we cannot allow strollers or wagons. At the end of the tour guests will receive wine to-go.

Honestly, it was picture perfect. My then gf and I did the Wine Hike with Kurt. He was AWESOME. We enjoyed his company, humor and knowledge of the vineyards. It made our day really special having him guide us. The vineyard is really awesome. From feeding the animals to tasting the amazing wines, it's a must do if your within driving distance of Malibu Wines for the day. Kurt even helped get myself and gf to the most gorgeous view of Saddlerock so I could propose. If you go to Malibu Wines, I highly recommend doing the hike.

This is more like a stroll. The wine tasting is basically 20 minutes into the hike. It’s not even in a very pretty spot on the vineyard. It sucks because the walk is like 3 hours long total. The tasting should def be more towards the end. Your walking through burnt, dead vegetation. I would recommend waiting until their tasting room is up and running again and not going during the summer months.

I had planned this day for a friends birthday and planned to picnic after with a bottle of wine bought from their winery. I had read reviews that you could picnic after the tour. Be aware, there is no place to picnic after the hike and they do not sell wine at this time. 😩. The wine tasting building burnt in the Woolsey fire. Hike was fun and lasted 3 hours.
