Overview
Our first stop will take us to an iconic Greenville landmark hotel and restaurant where you will enjoy the chef's signature dish....a southern favorite - shrimp and grits. Then, on to an imaginary visit to France with a delightful culinary creation all wrapped up into a delectable french breakfast crepe filled with almond cream cheese mousse served with your choice of eggs or bacon and a specialty coffee OR Mimosa to begin our tour. Our tour continues at Roost Restaurant, the very first farm to table restaurant in Greenville. The combined experience of tasty breakfast entrees in three excellent venues, the historical component shared by our knowledgeable and personable tour guide, Faye, and the opportunity to meet with other tour participants proved to be a win! Even though we are local, we learned new and historical information about Greenville and the people who had a part in making it a great place to live and visit! We also wanted to introduce our weekend guest to downtown Greenville ~it was a perfect intro!

This tour is wonderful. We visited 3 great restaurants and each served excellent food. We had to pace ourselves to make it through. Greenville is beautiful in the fall. Main Street was holding their weekly Saturday farm market, with the added twist of being Halloween weekend. Parents brought their kids in costume, to trick or treat the booths. The vendors were in costume. Our tour guide, Rose Woelker, did a great job explaining interesting details about the buildings, the rebirth/revitalization of the city, and history of the area. We loved the mice. (Yes, mice.)

I highly recommend this breakfast tour during your visit. Rose is an excellent host and tour guide, she gives you lots of interesting information about Greenville and the downtown area. She is also very invested in supporting local businesses. The food served at all 3 stops was delicious, plenty to eat and you can get mimosas! I would definitely book another tour with Foothill Foodies.
