We went to four different wineries. There was a chocolate pairing at one of them that was excellent, and all tasting fees were 15$ each (+5$ for chocolate well worth it). They gave us unlimited water. Cheese and crackers on the bus, and a great lunch that filled us up + vegetarian options! The only suggestion I would have, is to start with the wineries where you tour the ground, and end at the ones at the table and ac. Just by the end, you want to enjoy your wine from one place not exercise! haha. All in all it was great. Will recommend to others!

Thanks for your suggestion. You're right in that these tours have an entirely different feel early in the day (folks are a little shy, very polite, very interested in hearing stories and learning about the area and about wine) and later in the day (everyone is now chatty, laughing, comfortable with one another, more interested in the music than the stories...)

Our tour guide Kelly picked awesome wineries and was an absolute delight. We had a great group, we sang together on the way home (well we tried) and we went to dinner as a group. Platypus tends to visit smaller wineries which we really enjoyed. It's nice to bring home wine you can't buy elsewhere. The wineries we visited were Merryvale, Varozza, Benessere and Dutch Henry. All had excellent wine and customer service. The winery tours were all outstanding. A lunch was served by the lovely Kelly (Platypus) at the second winery and it was great. Make sure to drink lots of water, and be careful not to drink too much...helping others finish their wine. We Highly recommend this tour and are planning a return soon.

Kelli was our driver. She was excellent and our tour of lesser known wineries was fabulous. The wine was excellent, and nice to have the cheese tray between tastings. She fixed a delicious lunch and the view was superb. We had a fun group of 13 on the tour bus, and we jammed to music on the way back. I would definitely recommend this tour company to others. And ask for Kelli. J&J Boley
