Join us on a full-day, small-group wine tour of the Spectacular Napa Valley wine country! You’ll visit three charming, back roads wineries and be served a picnic lunch in an idyllic winery setting. Your tour guide will tell fascinating stories and share many interesting tidbits about local history, culture and wine making. Our specialty is intimate, light hearted and truly memorable experiences. Your guide will set up a tasty picnic lunch for you at a picturesque winery. Once the tour concludes, you will be dropped off from where you were picked up. The tour typically has 8-12 guests on board.

We are showing awesome (and COVID-safe) wine tours! Vehicles are frequently sanitized. Hand sanitizer on bus. Per CDC transportation guidelines, we recommend guests wear masks on board the tour shuttle. Safe, but still really fun.

Your tour will begin with pickup from your Napa Valley hotel. Where you are staying will define the tour region that you will be visiting. If your accommodations are outside of the winery region, you can arrange to meet us a general meeting spot. You’ll visit three charming, backroads wineries and be served a picnic lunch in an idyllic winery setting. Your tour guide will tell fascinating stories and share many interesting tidbits about local history, culture and wine making. This is not a smarmy or touristy activity. Our specialty is intimate, light-hearted and truly memorable. This tour is sure to entertain with a very approachable and easy-going style. Discover and savor new experiences tasting some of the world’s most celebrated wines. Our typical guest is not necessarily a wine expert but keen to learn a bit about wine and wine-making, and is open to sharing the experience with a few other like-minded wine adventurers.

Couldn't recommend this trip more, our guide Kim, was super friendly, fun and knowledgeable. We had a small group of 12 of us. We managed to go to 4 different wineries, didn't feel too rushed and got to try a good amount of wine in each location. Plenty of wine was flowing all day, all snacks and lunches provided were delicious. A cheese platter was given mid morning and then a lovely picnic lunch was provided at a beautiful location. We were staying in San Francisco, and the coach can not pick you up from there, so we had to get the boat Vallejo Ferry port. The directions provided and instructions to get there are super easy too follow. We left San Francisco at 8:15am, and we were back there by 6pm, everything went smoothly. Thanks Platypus for providing a fun filled day, 100% recommend.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our recent Platypus Wine Tour of Napa. Andy was our guide and provided a wealth of history of Napa and wonderful detailed information about wine making. We felt like VIPs at each of the wineries we visited. We were not rushed at all. We would highly recommend Platypus, and if you are lucky enough to have Andy as your tour guide, you won't be disappointed.

We had an excellent experience on this tour through Napa Valley. A very knowledgable guide, Army, added a lot of fun and insight to the experience, and provided a very tasty lunch. We toured 4 wineries with several couples, and was very impressed with each. We were picked up in San Francisco (right on time!) and dropped at a ferry stop in Vallajo for a lovely ferry ride back. All instructions were very clear and detailed, and everything went off without a hitch or a worry. Many thanks, Platypus Tours!!
