Join us on a full-day, small-group wine tour of the Spectacular Napa Valley wine country! You’ll visit three charming, back roads wineries and be served a picnic lunch in an idyllic winery setting. Your tour guide will tell fascinating stories and share many interesting tidbits about local history, culture and wine making. Our specialty is intimate, light hearted and truly memorable experiences. Your guide will set up a tasty picnic lunch for you at a picturesque winery. Once the tour concludes, you will be dropped off from where you were picked up. The tour typically has 8-12 guests on board.

We are showing awesome (and COVID-safe) wine tours! Vehicles are frequently sanitized. Hand sanitizer on bus. Per CDC transportation guidelines, we recommend guests wear masks on board the tour shuttle. Safe, but still really fun.

Your tour will begin with pickup from your Napa Valley hotel. Where you are staying will define the tour region that you will be visiting. If your accommodations are outside of the winery region, you can arrange to meet us a general meeting spot. You’ll visit three charming, backroads wineries and be served a picnic lunch in an idyllic winery setting. Your tour guide will tell fascinating stories and share many interesting tidbits about local history, culture and wine making. This is not a smarmy or touristy activity. Our specialty is intimate, light-hearted and truly memorable. This tour is sure to entertain with a very approachable and easy-going style. Discover and savor new experiences tasting some of the world’s most celebrated wines. Our typical guest is not necessarily a wine expert but keen to learn a bit about wine and wine-making, and is open to sharing the experience with a few other like-minded wine adventurers.

Our driver/host, Kyle, was outstanding. He picked 3 different wineries that were all fantastic. The boutique wineries are my favorites. Kyle made the day trip fun and informative. Communication leading up to the trip was superb. Cecelia and Jenna with Platypus Wine Tours kept us updated via phone calls and text messages. Highly recommended.

Hey Raul: Thanks so much for your kind comments! I don't know if Kyle mentioned it, but he is an accomplished actor, and can be seen at stage productions around the Bay Area. He tends to bring a larger than life energy and enthusiasm to his tours and we are very lucky to have him on our team. It was a good way to spend the day. They took good care of us , however some outside heaters would have enhanced the outside lunch.

Thanks for posting, Annette: Glad to hear you loved the tour, and very sorry to hear we allowed you to be chilly at lunch. More often our tours will picnic indoors on rainy days. Not sure why that didn't happen on your tour. I'll do my best to address that.

We had a wonderful time. The wineries chosen were absolutely perfect, and very unique. Our driver, army, was wonderful. I would definitely do it again.
