Overview

Take a day trip from San Francisco to Yosemite National Park, described as the crown jewel of the country's many splendid national parks. You will be guided on a coach tour to highlights such as Bridalveil Falls, Tunnel View, El Capitan, and Yosemite Falls, with a stop for a 1-mile (1.6-km) walk into a grove of giant sequoias*.

Our vans only take 15 passengers, so we are able to stop at more places with less time for loading and unloading of passengers.

*weather permitting, and the hike is not recommended for people with health issues

The trip is accessible for most of the tour. However, at the end of the day, we go on a hike to see the giant sequoias. This is NOT advised for people with back, heart or knee problems. It is also not wheelchair accessible. Unfortunately, this is only way to see the sequoias.
There is a possibility that the Giant Sequoia hike will not be available due to winter weather conditions.

Yosemite has been our bucket list for quite a few years. We were thrilled when we found a day trip out of SF! Since we’d never been to the park before, we were a bit overwhelmed at the idea of planning our own visit there. This tour was the perfect answer for us. It’s a bit of a drive, but our guide, Brian, kept it entertaining and informative from beginning to end. He is clearly very knowledgeable about Yosemite and everything related to the park. Our comfortable ride included anecdotes, videos, and timely stops for refreshments/bathrooms. (If you get motion sickness, Dramamine is a great pick-up at the grocery stop!) And we were so happy to get an extra stop at the family fruit stand! I don’t think we could have crammed anything else in to a single day at Yosemite. As noted, Brian is super knowledge about the park - trust that he will get you to the best stops, with the most beautiful photo ops and plenty of time to explore! I’m so thankful that we were able to enjoy the view while he did all the driving. I think one of my most unexpected favorite moments was using binocs to search for all the climbers on El Cap - I could have laid in the grass and watched them all afternoon. Overall, we felt it was an excellent value for the ease and enjoyment. Communication leading up to, during, and following the tour was clear and timely. It was a relaxed way to experience so many of Yosemite’s highlights. I would absolutely go on this tour again or try another tour from Best Bay Area Tours. Thanks so much for a great day!

Absolutely fantastic!!!!Despite the unseasonably cold weather, we had a wonderful trip to Yosemite and saw the most spectacular scenery, and our guide Phil was superb. He was so knowledgable and entertaining - thanks Phil. Everyone needs to do this trip - you won’t regret it!!

A lovely, full-day trip just as advertised! Our tour guide, Brian, made the long trip very enjoyable with his high-energy, knowledge of Yosemite, the surrounding area and his wit!! He was very helpful in making sure everyone was able to get the most out of all of the highlighted stops. Especially cool was seeing the climbers on El Capitan through the telescopes he set up for us ! Everything was on point!!!! Highly recommend this trip if you want to see Yosemite in a day!!!
