Overview

Take a day trip from San Francisco to Yosemite National Park, described as the crown jewel of the country's many splendid national parks. You will be guided on a coach tour to highlights such as Bridalveil Falls, Tunnel View, El Capitan, and Yosemite Falls, with a stop for a 1-mile (1.6-km) walk into a grove of giant sequoias*.

Our vans only take 15 passengers, so we are able to stop at more places with less time for loading and unloading of passengers.

*weather permitting, and the hike is not recommended for people with health issues

The trip is accessible for most of the tour. However, at the end of the day, we go on a hike to see the giant sequoias. This is NOT advised for people with back, heart or knee problems. It is also not wheelchair accessible. Unfortunately, this is only way to see the sequoias.
There is a possibility that the Giant Sequoia hike will not be available due to winter weather conditions.

Our guide, Brian was fun and very knowledgeable of the area. He was able to answer most questions (and our group had a lot lol) and pointed out interesting things along the way. I enjoyed watching the documentaries on the ride there which enhanced our experience by knowing some of the history of Yosemite. Unfortunately, there was an unexpected late snow storm in the park, so we were not able to hike to the Sequoia Grove. This was my main reason for booking the tour, but I still enjoyed my day and do not regret booking it at all. We stopped enough times for bathroom breaks and food. Some stops were just photo ops, but a couple of others were short excursions. One thing is I wish I had packed hiking boots (or at least an extra pair of socks!) which would have been much better than my canvas shoes in the snow! For those not in shape, do not worry. It was not strenuous at all because the hiking times had to be kept short. All in all we really enjoyed it and it was a highlight in our week in SF.

It was an excellent tour, we went to different parts of Yosemite. I would recommend my friends to take this tour in the future.

Our tour guide, Brian, was amazing. He was very concerned that we were experiencing everything possible! He even brought extra binoculars and telescopes so that we could watch the rock climbers! Amazing!
