We took the day trip to yosemite from San Francisco and we had one of the best day tour experience with Brian, our guide for the day as well as the weather and the sights being the best we could have asked for. Brian was the perfect tour guide and he kept the experience quotient high through his knowledge about the place (from his earlier stint as a park ranger), his eclectic collection of time lapse photos and videos, docu movies of the rock climbing on el captain, his eager help with taking some great shots of us against the picturesque backgrounds and his overall energy and enthusiasm as well as concern to keep everyone on tour comfortable and informed. The weather and views and time given for the trails were just perfect and you can check out the photos from few of the vantage points we covered during the same day to understand the sheer beauty and unique aspects of the place. Few tips : 1. Check the weather and season based unique points or closures beforehand - eg we went at start of January so the Sequoia section was closed and the waterfall was beautiful but not at its max flow 2. Pack layers specially if visiting in winter as it can get chilly and windy in some sections with snow also being common 3. You can do a pre research for which trail interests you (lower or upper waterfall /village...) and suits your style or fitness level 4. Pack some juices or snacks - though there would be ample stoppages but you may not get all types of food /cuisines though the cafeteria at the visitor centre is good for hot meal options Overall, just go for it as it would be an unforgettable experience

The highlight of our recent vacation was when my family and I traveled to Yosemite with Brian of Best Bay Area Tours. Yosemite National Park is truly spectacular, but Brian of Best Bay Area Tours made this small group adventure so much more than it might otherwise have been. He made sure our Mercedes Van arrived well before the big bus tour groups, so that we could avoid crowds. He prepared documentary footage for us to watch on the way to the park, as well as a panoply of photographs he had taken through the years at different Scenic spots in Yosemite. Brian lived at Yosemite and worked there for years, so he's very experienced with the park. He took us to all the best photo ops and even advised us which trails to walk for the best experience. If you are comparing Yosemite tours, you can stop looking now that you've found Best Bay Area Tours.

First of all this trip should be renamed as a day trip to heaven! It is breathtaking! From pick up to drop off it was the perfect day. Phil (our tour guide) was fantastic! His knowledge of San Francisco & Yosemite was second to none. His music playlist for the bus was well thought out and made the journey feel like an hour and not four hours. He had brilliant tips for taking pictures and was on hand to take pictures for everyone. We covered all the highlights of the park and none of it was rushed. If I was returning to San Francisco I would not hesitate to book this trip again, and I would be booking with this company hoping Phil was the tour guide again! Thank you Phil!
