Was very disappointed we didn't see the large sequoias as described in program. This was one of the things we paid for and reasons we chose this tour.

We understand your disappointment in not visiting the giant sequoias. Safety is our number one priority. As it states on our website, we visit the sequoias as weather and conditions are permitting. This time of the year the weather conditions make it impossible on the trail because it is buried in snow and ice making it quite unsafe. So we do not visit the giant tree, but we do instead is spend more time in the valley to explore its beauty and majesty. Hopefully you did enjoy all the extra time you had. Thank you for your feedback.

Although I was disappointed the Giant Sequoias were unavailable due to the snow, Yosemite is a treasure trove of beautiful landmarks. Brian was outstanding and made sure he filled the day with photo opportunities and interesting facts and history about the area. If you are set on visiting the Giant Sequoias, I recommend calling the guides ahead to check you are travelling at a time they will be available, regardless the waterfalls which are usually dry were incredible and provided some amazing photo ops!

Definitely an unforgettable experience. Even more memorable if your fortunate enough to have Mike as your guide! Definitely a disservice if you come to San Fran and skip Yosemite. Try the 2 mile hike to the Yosemite falls when you get there. Breathtaking (including the climb) view when you arrive at the top. Just be sure to get down by 3pm.
