Overview

Take a day trip from San Francisco to Yosemite National Park, described as the crown jewel of the country's many splendid national parks. You will be guided on a coach tour to highlights such as Bridalveil Falls, Tunnel View, El Capitan, and Yosemite Falls, with a stop for a 1-mile (1.6-km) walk into a grove of giant sequoias*.

Our vans only take 15 passengers, so we are able to stop at more places with less time for loading and unloading of passengers.

*weather permitting, and the hike is not recommended for people with health issues

The trip is accessible for most of the tour. However, at the end of the day, we go on a hike to see the giant sequoias. This is NOT advised for people with back, heart or knee problems. It is also not wheelchair accessible. Unfortunately, this is only way to see the sequoias.
There is a possibility that the Giant Sequoia hike will not be available due to winter weather conditions.

Joe was our driver/tourguide and he kept us entertained on the long ride from San Francisco to Yosemite National Park! He provided info on California history, on the park itself, and he was great about providing photo opportunities and taking photos of anyone who wanted them. He also was good about providing the tourgroup info on recommended sights or things to do during our 90-minute free time at the park. I appreciated as well that he stopped at a nice supermarket with great bathroom facilities on our way there and our way back: we were able to buy our lunch there instead of paying the $$ prices at the park! Yosemite is definately worth seeing at least once in a lifetime, and this tour was a great way to do that!

An early day starting at 6 a.m. Bryan was our guide and picked up a total of 12 people. Singles & couples. He had the logistics of picking up people where/when very well on the one-way streets. He was very informative and knowledgeable. Very engaging! It is about a 3-hour drive, one way, to Yosemite. After learning of the El Capitan and some of the other "walls" to climb, it helped that he had informative videos playing on the van. Afterward, we toured the Sequoyah's. There were stops for restrooms and "eats" along the way. What I was surprised about was he even offered to shake my hand, goodbye as we were departing the bus. Of course, men always shake each other's hands, it was good to be Included!
