This was our second trip to Zion and it was great. The wildlife alone is worth the trip. We saw Mule Deer, Desert Big Horn Sheep, Rock Squirrels and California Condors. Some details on the trip. Adventure Photo tours picked us up at our hotel and transported us to Zion National park. The APT driver paid for our entry into the park. We were then dropped off in the park at shuttle stop #2 to catch park operated shuttle buses. (We were given our lunch to eat at our own leisure.)The shuttle buses actually transported us through the park and pointed out interesting facts and landmarks. Zion Shuttle tip. The buses coming from shuttle stop #1 to shuttle stop # 2 are standing room only. Catch a shuttle bus coming from the park interior that has plenty of room and ride it back down to shuttle stop #1. You will have to get off the bus when arriving at #1 and get in line for departing shuttles. This is best way to get a seat for the long ride through the park. Otherwise you will stand the entire time. The trip through the park is narrated by the Zion park staff and is very informative. we rode the shuttle to river trail and hiked to the narrows. This hike will take about 30 minutes. Don't be shy about passing people on the trail as you hike. if you get caught behind slow walkers you will not make it to the narrows in the time allotted. Zion is a beautiful National Park and is well worth the trip.

If you want to Zion then this is the tour! I was picked on time at my hotel by Dennis who explained everything was going to happen. We made a couple of rest stops on the way to Zion to break the journey. When we arrived in Zion Dennis showed us (there was maybe and three other people in our tour) where to find the shuttle stops and restrooms etc. He provided us with maps and suggestions of hikes we could do before providing us with our lunch and away we went. We had three hours in the park using the shuttles to get around. Zion use a shuttle bus system, no cars are allowed but we never had to wait anymore than five minutes for a shuttle at each stop. We had time to eat lunch and do part of the riverside walk along with stops at each stop on the way back for photos. After the three hours Dennis met at the lodge and provided ice cold bottled water and then continued the tour through the tunnel and onto checkerboard mesa. Wonderful day out, thank you!

Visiting friends in Vegas and enjoyed hiking Red Rock Canyon in Vegas and was told about Zion National Park. It was a little over 3 hours driving from Vegas. My friends and I kept saying WOW! every so often. It is an amazing park to visit. We only spent the day, but I intend to go back and stay a few days to try to get it all in. Must see if you are anywhere in the commuting area!!!
