Smartphone Driving Tour between Boulder and Vail / Breckenridge

Follow the suggested route along Interstate I-70 & Hwy 93, and discover one of the most scenic drives in Colorado. Start anywhere along the route between Boulder and Vail or Breckenridge. The tour experience is the same in either direction.

It was a fun drive my wife and I spent the whole day driving and stopping along the way for pictures. It was a fun drive in the winter the snow was amazing and so were the views. If you have time to take the Loveland Pass you should take it. The in car trivia is fun and I actually learned a lot.

I had to delete and reinstall the app a handful of times to just get it to download properly (and I had full bars of LTE connection). Even after that the tour was glitchy, it would know where I was along the map but wouldn’t automatically start the narration. If I happened to miss the portion of the narration with directions I’d have been out of luck. Unfortunately, I was the only person in my car so I had to keep checking my phone to see where I was in the tour and narration then restart it if it didn’t automatically play…not ideal to have to futz with my phone while driving. For only 5 dollars, it was ok but seemed to have glitches which I don’t think was operator error. It’s a cool idea, I’d try it again in a few years.

Thanks for the review. We experienced a technical issue on the weekend you did your tour (the reason for needing to uninstall and reinstall), which is now fixed. As far as the audio sporadically playing, this is related to GPS signal. Unfortunately some devices (specifically older ones) have difficulty acquiring and maintaining a GPS signal. The vast majority of tours go smoothly, and if there are issues we will gladly issue a refund. You are right however that as newer devices gradually replace older ones, these rare GPS signal issues will become lower and lower. If there is a passenger along for the ride, they can always play the audio manually as well.
