What To Expect

Seattle

The tour will start from Seattle at your pickup location at 9:30-10:30am. We will travel over Lake Washington through the floating bridges and pass the Mercer Island’s on interstate 90.

Snoqualmie Falls

Arrival in the picturesque Snoqualmie Falls. Take pictures, relax at the upper observation deck, and then walk down to the lower observation deck through the soft trail. We have some soft walking down through a part of rainforest. We will walk alongside the Snoqualmie river to reach the lower deck and visit the waterfalls on our face level.

Woodinville

Woodinville has more than 130 wineries and a local whisky factory. We’d be happy to give you rides to different wineries. The only winery that requires pre-reservation is Chateau Ste Michelle. You can reserve your table around 1:00 pm and at the pick-up time let your driver guide know that you have a reservation. Otherwise, you don’t need a reservation and you’ll have more choices and options to enjoy your trip.

Seattle

Heading back from Woodinville to Seattle between 3:30-4:00pm. where we will drop you off at your desired location (around 4:00-4:30pm).

I did this tour after my Alaska cruise end of June. You need to transfer your luggage to your hotel in town and store it. Unfortunately the tour doesn't have room in the van for port pickup and hotel drop-off. Get off the ship ASAP! Getting ride share took some time. Tour pickup was prompt around 945am. The van held 12 people. There were 2 under 12 in the van. They seemed to enjoy the day. Thee explanation for the tour from our guide needs a little work and maybe a microphone?? The roads to Snoqualmie falls are curvy and hilly, take your Dramamine! Don't do the wine first!! Depending on your group, I recommend asking to be dropped off at the top parking lot and walk down to the lower lot. The hike has a decent grade to it and mostly gravel so wear good walking shoes. It's approximately just over a mile walk down/up. Apparently there is a path to the water. Our guide didn't go with us so we didn't find it but if you do, leave a detail how to get there please!! Going to the winery next was under an hour. This tour needs to work on a good time frame set up so you can make RSVP (highly suggest this) at the winery for the tasting menu ... DO NOT MISS THIS!!! The tasting takes 75min, enjoying with the "bites menu" or added food. We were lucky to get a table on a Sunday for 3 in the bar without an RSVP. OR some in our group plopped on the lawn outside and bought a bottle to drink. I guess there was an option to go to the Whiskey tasting at some restaurant but we didn't do that. We opted for the Boehm chocolate factory. Get the decadent chocolate covered ice cream bar!!! Great options if chocolate gifts and treats. And walk around the building to see the chocolate being made. The history of Julius Boehm is another sound of music story. The drive back to the W hotel was about 45min. This is quite the day trip of FUN. You are basically paying for transportation to these destinations. How you schedule your time is up to you and hopefully everyone else joining your van is in the same mindset. Research the destinations and enjoy!! We did ;)

The falls were beautiful! Our guide took us to a great restaurant near Chateau Ste. Michelle and then we enjoyed a wine tasting and charcuterie there. We took a scenic drive and saw so many beautiful places. We even made a stop in Lake Washington to dip our toes in the water. Perfect day!

Daniel was an exceptional guide. We were picked up from SeaTac at the start of our tour. Luggage was stowed in the van while we enjoyed an informative tour of Seattle and surrounding areas, including celebrity homes, the amazing falls, wineries and a chocolate factory/store. At the end of the day we were dropped off at our hotel in downtown Seattle. Thank you Daniel for a great day!
