I have been snorkeling with Ellie a number of times in the waters around Sitka. The experience of swimming through kelp forests and exploring tidal pools was amazing. The density and variety of sea flora and fauna was unexpected and captivating. But it was Ellie’s enthusiasm and leadership of our group that made me want to return and go on more adventures. I would not hesitate to recommend her and the Selkie Snorkel company. CS

I’ve snorkeled in Mexico, Guatemala, and Australia, but I truly never recognized the beauty of the places I was in until Ellie’s snorkeling tour! She has spent so much time snorkeling in Sitka, knows so many cool spots, and sees beauty in places I never would have noticed without her. Nudibranches hiding behind green flowing kelp, seals playing with their pups, octopi disguising themselves as rocks, starfish dotting underwater sea cliffs…the list of things you might see goes on and on. Sitka is absolutely gorgeous above water, but getting to explore places that most people never get to see underwater was an experience I will never forget. For those looking to get off the beaten path, this tour is for you! Plus Ellie is just a gem of a human being.
