What an incredible adventure!! This is my second time going here and I just love it! Itā€™s so relaxing and beautiful views!! Phenomenal views!! Last time I went in late fall, which was beautiful! But today, the wild flowers were blooming and the pops of color were just brilliant!! Nikki is truly amazing and told us all about the flowers. The love these horses and care for them so much!! The horses are beautiful, smart, and know the trails extremely well. We had saddle bags and brought snacks and water for the ride. I felt very comfortable riding, it was so relaxing and beautiful!! I love this place and hope you do too!

Thank you for the review! We hope you can come again in the winter when the waterfalls are going, then you will truly be well rounded on the northern Sonoma area! Haha! Thanks again, Nikki

My husband and I are not very experienced riders, but we wanted to do something a little different during our annual trip to Napa/Sonoma. First, it's a gorgeous location, so the views alone are worth it. The people at the Ranch at Lake Sonoma clearly care a great deal about their horses and take very good care of them. This ride was about an hour long, which is more or less the max for me as I'm not used to riding. The horses were sweet and well-behaved. The path was very muddy due to recent rains, so the level of difficulty was a bit more advanced for me BUT I actually learned a lot in terms of making things easier for the horse up and down hills, how to hold myself in the saddle, etc. I was a bit nervous in the beginning but by the end felt a lot more confident and would definitely try this again. Cool drive up to the location as well, with very nice vistas. Also, I found this company to be very professional with their booking and communications, which was not my experience with others, so well worth it.

As part of our family reunion, four of us went on a horseback tour of Lake Sonoma. Nikki was the perfect guide, not only did she lead our ride, but she gave us great insight about Lake Sonoma. Especially the flora and fauna. Her regard for our safety was amazing.
