We had a great day in Sonoma thanks to Sonoma Valley Bike Tours & Rentals. We had never rented e-bikes before, but our guide gave great instructions and let us practice a bit before we took off. It was a cool morning in January, and we were offered gloves so we would be more comfortable. The ride was beautiful and thanks to the e-bikes, we were not worn out and sweaty upon our arrival to our destinations. We stopped at a winery and got a lesson on winemaking (all outdoors). We did not have a tasting at that winery, only a short tour of the vineyard. Then we went to a winery and tasting in an industrial area, which was okay, but not really spectacular. Then we rode to Buena Vista which really was the highlight of our tour. We participated in tastings, where our host was very fun. Then our bike company tour guide took us on a tour of the wine caves and other buildings. Even though our tour was over at 2 pm, we were invited to keep our bikes until 5. All of the wine we purchased was picked up by the bike shop and was waiting for us in bags when we returned the bikes. I would highly recommend this tour. One thing to note, the bike shop is a mile from the Sonoma town square. We were staying in that area, so we walked, but you might want to consider driving or uber if that is too far to walk. Personally, I would have rather visited 3 wineries for tasting, rather than the lesson on grape growing for one of the 3 stops, but it was still a great time.

Hunt was an amazing tour guide. We did the Taste of Sonoma (food/wine) bike tour on e-bikes. The e-bikes were a lot of fun and well worth the extra cost. We visited 3 wineries. At the first we got to learn about the wine making process and even got to taste wine that was coming out of the fermentor. At the second winery we learned more about the history and at the 3rd we got to enjoy the scenery. We also had to opportunity go to behind the scenes of a cheese factory and sample cheeses! Finally, we were given a small bottle of wine to take home with us. Throughout the tour, Hunt provided excellent commentary and facts and was a wizard behind the camera knowing the best places for photo opportunities. A couple of his photos are attached to this review! All in all, this was our best trip experience while visiting San Fransisco and the Sonoma region.

My daughter, Allison, and I did the half day Sonoma Bike and Wine Tour. Our guide, Phyllis, was awesome. She was informative and took us to some neat places in Sonoma. We enjoyed the wine at Tin Barn and Buena Vista. This is a must do tour if you are in Sonoma!
