What To Expect

Tonto National Forest

You will meet us in the parking area at the trail head, once there you will check in, get kitted with your helmet and goggles, and go over a quick safety briefing so that you feel good about how to operate your vehicle. Once everyone is ready to go you will follow your guide into the off road trails in the Tonto National Forest area where you will ride for 2 hours covering about 20 miles of trail. Your guide will reorder the group after the first 10 minutes to be sure everyone can ride at their own pace, the vehicles can reach speeds of 40 mph, but not everyone likes to go that fast! You will traverse sandy washes and blow up the dust while viewing the beautiful Sonoran Desert scenery. Your guide will periodically stop you to give pointers on the upcoming terrain, make sure you are drinking water, and take photos of everyone in action. After the tour you will return to the starting point where your car will be waiting for you.

We came to Scottsdale/Phoenix on a girls trip to celebrate our 30th birthdays and wanted to choose an activity/adventure. We decided on a desert ATV and are so glad we went with it. We chose to do three single ATVs. I was a bit nervous after the first trail so our guide, Mitch, offered to let me on the back of his ATV for the rest of the ride. He gave me a hell of a ride! My arms still hurt from hanging on for dear life. My 2 friends had a great time and got used to the ATVs quickly and were able to keep up well. Mitch was the best guide we could’ve asked for- he also took photos for us and cut off a piece of cactus for us to try (desert “pickle”). Thank you so much for the wonderful adventure!

My boyfriend and I had so much fun! My boyfriend had not dressed appropriately for the weather conditions (typical), but our guide Colton literally gave him the jacket off his back haha! I was originally terrified to do this, but Colton set an awesome pace for us and did routine stops to check in on everyone. This was hands down our favorite part of our whole trip. We will likely do this again, especially if Colton is our tour guide! Super appreciative for the awesome experience.
