Because of this tour I saw a side of Philadelphia that I never knew existed-historic horse-drawn wagon size alleyways that transported me back to Ben franklin days, yet exploding to today’s world with colorful, insightful art and murals bringing the streets alive. Everywhere the guide directed attention to architecture, history and stories of the reuse of buildings to reflect the needs of the time. The guide charmingly shared her knowledge, enthusiasm, love and pride of this area and Philly in general. Well worth it. Recommend to others for an enjoyable time with eye-opening sightseeing of the highest order. Loved it! Guide was Shelley.

This was an interesting and fun tour lead by Chuck. I have taken several walking tours and this was one of the best. Chuck was knowledgeable and personable. I would recommend this tour to both locals and visitors.

Chuck is amazing! That's not opinion, it's scientific fact. He knows so much about the market and the surrounding neighborhood, it should be a crime to wander the area without him. Thank you so much for leaving this review.

Enjoyed this tour led by Chuck, a fun and knowledgeable guide. I attended with my mother, who was visiting from out of town. Even as a Philadelphian who lives in a neighborhood full of Mr. Zagar's mosaics and regularly shops at the Italian Market, I learned new things and tasted new flavors.
