Southfork Ranch

Texans have always believed that they live “larger-than-life,” and where else is that so clearly lived out than at the infamous Southfork Ranch? Make-believe, some say? Perhaps, yet for 13 years (356 episodes), this made-for-TV drama captured the imaginations of millions of people around the world. Guests may enjoy the museum and shopping the Ranch Round-up at the Visitor’s Center where they can buy Southfork Ranch gifts and Texas memorabilia. Additional items that are always of interest are: The prop gun used to frame the well-known question, “who shot JR?”; Lucy’s wedding dress; Video clips from many series’ episodes; and interviews conducted with “stars” of the show. From the Visitor’s Center, guests may take a train ride past the Ewing Oil Office to the Ewing mansion, visit J.R.’s bedroom, explore the grounds and shop at Lincoln’s and Longhorns, where Jock’s 1978 Lincoln automobile is on display.

It was ok. Cool to hear history of ownership of house an how they filmed dallas, but that's about it. Dont see that lasting long, cause age thing all they have wasn't worth $75

Dan was a great narrator! He was informative and interesting, plus he has numerous tales, stories and tidbits to pass on. He went out of his way to accommodate us and take pictures. I highly recommend this tour to “Dallas” fans.

You can just turn up and go on a timed guided tour which are quite regular and very well presented. The tour is done by tour guides who really seem to enjoy themselves and also know their history of the ranch and the programmes. They could do so much better with the eatery on site though as the food that was available was extremely limited and not much at all for vegetarian/vegan diets. Otherwise as a tour/site of interest it was very good. Well recommended - Enjoy
