How I wish we had more time to spend at the Space Center Houston. For space exploration enthusiasts there is no question that this is a MUST SEE!

My family went to Houston for the 50th anniversary of the moon landing. The Johnson Space Center is incredible. I was 8 when Apollo 11 landed and they had the original mission control room set up exactly as it was in 1969. There is a visual presentation of the last 10 minutes before they landed on the moon with all displays and readouts showing exactly as they did on the moment of lunar touchdown 50 years ago. I felt the wonder I did as a kid sitting on the floor watching the TV with my parents. You cannot imagine how amazing this is you have to experience it. The lunch with an astronaut is a wonderful experience. We had retired Col. Brian Duffy tell us about his experiences in space. My son is 12 and this made him feel what I did 50 years ago.

We recently visited Houston for a week and took a day for NASA. It is certainly interesting, educational and a great experience. It is also quite crowded but that is to be expected for summer holidays. Worth the visit!
