Its been my second time to Seattle and I’m always go up the Space Needle for dinner and having a amazing view over the city. It’s a bit pricy, but totally forth it!

We went on a cloudy day and the experience was still very good. Easy transportation on the Monorail. A retro experience all the way! The old revolving restaurant is now closed and has been converted into a fantastic glass floor area on the lower level.

This is a must do when in Seattle. It's not going to change your life or anything but it's pretty cool. It was like $60pp for the combo ticket. The views were awesome from the needle...we had great weather so that was obviously the key. The glass bottom rotating floor, on the lower of the two decks, is relatively new. I am not a huge heights guy so it was a little unnerving at first...never quite got comfortable with it. The glass on the side slopes out and we saw a TON of Asian tourists taking pics trying to create the illusion they were jumping off. Most everyone else just sat on the bench and smiled for their pics. :) There is a cafe on the upper deck that serves beer, wine and light fare. There is no time limit so technically, one could stay up there all day. We saw a couple "college kids" sitting up there with their laptops just hanging out. Pretty cool place to catch up on "homework." The Glass garden was also cool. The glass is amazing but I am not a big "museum" type so while I am glad that I got to see all the amazing glass sculptures, I was through there in like 10 min. The sit down glass blowing demo is definitely a "must make time for" if you go. The stuff the "staff" (obviously not Chiluly himself) blows is for sale every day in the space needle gift shop...NOT the glass museum gift shop...that is reserved for Chiluly sculptures which run $7,000 - $15,000. They are great...but NOT that great! :) Take the monorail to the needle from downtown (near Macy's). It's only a mile and the ride is like 2 min but they are original cars from the 1962 World's Fair. Like I said, the whole thing is definitely worth doing.
