A great place to visit. Helpful staff getting sorted out with tickets. The views from the top was great. Get the app and all the pictures taken are free to download to your phone. Chilhuly Gardens was amazing. The glass sculptures were truly outstanding and so creative. Put together in the gardens exquisite. Cannot recommend enough.

We bought our combination ticket on line directly with Space Needle just before we got there. We were coming from the cruise ship so did't really know ahead of time when we could tour, and you do need to select a 15 minute window for the Space Needle. We dropped our suitcases off at the hotel and walked over there. While enroute I booked our tickets - this was a Saturday morning. They have a very efficient process to get through the Space Needle and once you're on the top you can stay as long as you like. Download the app as there's free pictures the various cameras take along the way, including the photographer just before you enter the elevators. The view is amazing. You can get drinks on top and just sit and look at the view. Of course it helped that we had a spectacular warm and sunny day. Nice gift shop as well. Afterwards we walked over to Chihuly Gardens. I had never seen his work before and was awestruck. Definitely a must see - couldn't have spent even longer just sitting around the gardens. The Monorail stop is just outside the door and the Free Shuttle around town is across the street. There's also a number of other museums at Seattle Center which is where this is, so you could definitely spend the whole day in this complex witih a few tourist shops and food trucks around.
