It was a cemetery I always wanted to make it over to but finally made the call when they offered a tour again [I enjoy getting the details just walking around doesn't offer]. I love that the small ticket price goes to preserving the amazing cemeteries around New Orleans. Our tour guide was personable, funny, and passionate about being there despite the heat. This was my second Save Our Cemeteries event I attend and I haven't been disappointed!

We had an excellent tour of St. Roch Cemetery in the St. Roch neighborhood. Our guide was Dana Criswell. She is very knowledgeable, has an engaging personality, and lives in the neighborhood. We were fortunate to have a visit inside the chapel located in St. Roch No. 1 which has had some very nice restoration work. After the tour we had a nice lunch at St. Roch Market on St. Claude. Save Our Cemeteries is an organization that everyone who cares about the history and culture of the city should support.

This was an amazing tour and worth every penny. Dana C. was the best tour guide I’ve had in a while. She was extremely knowledgeable, sociable, and engaging. Her excitement kept everyone focused and having a good time. Highly recommend and would take a different tour of theirs again.
