Come join us and enjoy the best paddle boarding experience Waikiki can offer! The Group Lesson is an affordable way for participants 13 and older to try paddle boarding for the first or 50th time. Our group lessons offer that perfect mix of individual attention in a team environment. Everyone improves and everyone has fun. Our group sizes vary, but have a ratio of 1 instructor for every 4 students. With our high-quality boards, reef shoes and rash-guard shirts, instruction and video-viewing, and best-in-class, professional guides, we provide the ultimate group paddle boarding lesson.

Suitable for all physical fitness levels
2 person minimum. Must be 13 years or older and able to swim to join the Open Group Lesson.
If any participants cannot swim please advise the staff ahead of time as a private lesson will be recommended.
If any participants have any medical conditions or injuries that we should be aware of please advise the staff ahead of time.
If you are prone to seasickness, you may want to take a remedy you are accustomed to using before the lesson (talk to your doctor for recommendations).
Please come prepared for the lesson by wearing your bathing suit, bringing a towel and making sure to apply sunscreen ahead of time.
All of our written materials are also available in Spanish, Japanese, Korean and Chinese. With at least 24 hours notice, we will do our best to accommodate Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese speaking-instructors.
Complimentary transportation is available from select locations in Waikiki. Exact pick-up location and time will be emailed to you by the supplier. If you do not receive these details 24 hours prior to your lesson, please contact us.

Cancellation Policy

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

My first time paddle boarding and I had a blast. Everyone is super nice and knowledgeable. I loved my first time experience paddle boarding and now thanks to Ohana Surf Project, I feel encouraged to do more. Thank you OSP!!! Highly Recommended!!!

Highly knowledgeable & super fun instructors made for a great learning experience on the water! We had never SUP before but our instructor was very patient and encouraging to get us up on our boards. It was a very small group so the surf instructor also put us on some waves! So much fun!

THIS EXPERIENCE WAS AMAZING AND DOES NOT DISAPPOINT!! Reed took my husband and I out to SUP and he was awesome. We had a quick little stretch and then learned the basic ways to turn and how to stand up. We got in the water and he checked we could turn in the actual water and off we went. He continued to give us little tie bits as we went along to help us. Both of us were successful and able to stand up and paddle. Highly recommend. Everyone was extremely nice and friendly. If we’re ever back in Hawai’i we’ll be back to learn to surf.
