This is a wonderful activity if you are fit. Our family is very active and fit and it was a serious workout for all of us.
The scenery was gorgeousāitās like a dream. Once youāve paddled for about an hour, youāll arrive at a lovely jungle where you will hike about hour-hour and a half (coming back is much faster, itās uphill on the way there). The waterfall is stunning and youāll get lots of great pictures. Then you hike back and paddle home. Kayaking is easier and there were tour boats if you just want to hike.
Things to bring:
A wet bag for snacks and sunscreen. Itās a long day and youāll need both.
Water shoes with a thicker sole or tennis shoes that you donāt mind getting dirty. We didnāt have proper shoes and it was a slippery- muddy-barefoot fest.
This truly was one of my favorite experiences in HI and Dukes Paddle Boards was laidback helpful and so, so nice. Shout out to Morgan for all of her help and advice.
