Savor the beauty and romance of the New Orleans skyline aboard the Dinner Jazz Cruise. Enjoy the tunes of the Dukes of Dixieland jazz band and a narrated tour provided by our captain while cruising the Mighty Mississippi River.

Please note: there are two seating times for dinner, so please make sure to check availability of both if one is not available. The first dinner seating is from 6-7:15pm and the second dinner seating is from 7:45-9pm.

The Steamboat NATCHEZ is taking some time off, but her sister vessel, the Riverboat CITY of NEW ORLEANS will be taking her place. You’ll get the same authentic riverboat experience of a leisurely, two-hour cruise on the mighty Mississippi, enjoying traditional live jazz, craft cocktails, and all the beautiful New Orleans sites, while also exploring the newly renovated riverboat. Make sure you check out all four decks - the top deck view is a sight to see! Upgrade your ticket to include the dinner buffet.

In order to help preserve the French Quarter from vehicular traffic, it is requested that you please walk, if possible, to the convenient tour departure point - just a short stroll from most downtown hotels.
The riverboat is handicap accessible. However, access to the top & bottom decks are by stairs only. Please call before finalizing your plans if you have questions on access or personal equipment.

What To Expect

Mississippi River

Your riverboat is a time machine that fills its passengers with the romance and marvel of yesteryear! Cruise along the Mississippi River and be whisked away with its atmosphere and ambiance. As you steam ahead, soak in breathtaking views of the city skyline while enjoying a New Orleans cultural experience – a live jazz performance performed by the New Orleans band Dukes of Dixieland, a Grammy nominee. Enjoy dining inside or outside, and your Louisiana-style buffet dinner includes tossed salad, chicken and sausage gumbo, rice, baked chicken, bayou seafood pasta, paddlewheel primavera, creole vegetarian jambalaya, herb-garlic fingerling potatoes, green beans almondine, white chocolate bread pudding, bananas foster, and vanilla ice cream. Two separate dining times give you the flexibility to enjoy the evening at your own pace. Please note: cruise with dinner option must be selected in order to confirm that your cruise includes the meal.

Great experience and atmosphere, all staff was friendly and helpful. Food was delicious and filling. Drinks were great! Waitress Angela; nice, good intentions but seemed overwhelmed and missed a our drink order, almost forgot appetizers and bread, had to help self to dinner. (instructions stated to wait for waitress to tell you when to get in line for plates) other then that the entire experience was a great date night and allowed me to recreate our engagement experience (engaged in Mexico on cruise). Will attend in future, wanting to do a brunch time with friends!

Was looking forward to a really nice evening as this was one of the highest rated tours to take and it was very disappointing. The wait at the third floor bar was almost 45min in line only to be greeted by very rude and inefficient bartenders, stating that our order of a “French 75” was “tedious” and continued to tell us to proceed to another bar to get it. The ship did not cruise due to fog so we were unable to experience that part or do any sightseeing. And finally, the food was very basic overall and not something that I would recommend. The price far outweighed the experience and we regretted spending our time and money here.

The dinner was great, but the boat never left the dock because of the fog. They offered to give us a free trip the following morning, so we boarded the boat again. This second time the boat didn't leave because of mechanical issues. Then the tour operator told us they'd automatically give us a partial refund. After emailing the tour operator they confirmed that I would actually have to reach out to viator to get the refund. The whole thing was a bust. I don't recommend.

Both of the cancellations were for safety issues, one fog and the other a maintenance issue that was not expected. Yes, you will be fully refunded. It must come through Viator as they collected your funds, not our company. If for any reason the refund does not get applied in the manner you charged it, within 10 days and we can reach out to them on your behalf. We apologize for your experience.
