Savor the beauty and romance of the New Orleans skyline aboard the Dinner Jazz Cruise. Enjoy the tunes of the Dukes of Dixieland jazz band and a narrated tour provided by our captain while cruising the Mighty Mississippi River.

Please note: there are two seating times for dinner, so please make sure to check availability of both if one is not available. The first dinner seating is from 6-7:15pm and the second dinner seating is from 7:45-9pm.

The Steamboat NATCHEZ is taking some time off, but her sister vessel, the Riverboat CITY of NEW ORLEANS will be taking her place. You’ll get the same authentic riverboat experience of a leisurely, two-hour cruise on the mighty Mississippi, enjoying traditional live jazz, craft cocktails, and all the beautiful New Orleans sites, while also exploring the newly renovated riverboat. Make sure you check out all four decks - the top deck view is a sight to see! Upgrade your ticket to include the dinner buffet.

In order to help preserve the French Quarter from vehicular traffic, it is requested that you please walk, if possible, to the convenient tour departure point - just a short stroll from most downtown hotels.
The riverboat is handicap accessible. However, access to the top & bottom decks are by stairs only. Please call before finalizing your plans if you have questions on access or personal equipment.

What To Expect

Mississippi River

Your riverboat is a time machine that fills its passengers with the romance and marvel of yesteryear! Cruise along the Mississippi River and be whisked away with its atmosphere and ambiance. As you steam ahead, soak in breathtaking views of the city skyline while enjoying a New Orleans cultural experience – a live jazz performance performed by the New Orleans band Dukes of Dixieland, a Grammy nominee. Enjoy dining inside or outside, and your Louisiana-style buffet dinner includes tossed salad, chicken and sausage gumbo, rice, baked chicken, bayou seafood pasta, paddlewheel primavera, creole vegetarian jambalaya, herb-garlic fingerling potatoes, green beans almondine, white chocolate bread pudding, bananas foster, and vanilla ice cream. Two separate dining times give you the flexibility to enjoy the evening at your own pace. Please note: cruise with dinner option must be selected in order to confirm that your cruise includes the meal.

Well first off its to much money just for the boat to sit for 1 hour then just to do 2 slow circles around the pier …Not to mention as a customer we were running a little late and traffic was horrible do to a few accidents and also it was raining to hard to even see so i called viator to see if maybe we could bump our reservations to the next day or if there was any other cruise we could do in case we didnt make it on time … i was told yes they had another brunch cruise for following day so i was told yes but there would be a penalty which was fine i said how much i was told 100% which is totally rediculous and asked why i was told bcuz its the same as a cancellation in which that is not the same thats no way to accommodate ur guest now 50$ seems fair for the inconvenience not 100% plus pay again for another cruise so unless ur policy makes changes i wont do it again or recommend anyone do this cruise as well

Their is one hour boarding window to enable guests get aboard at their convenience as long as it is before leaving dock at 7pm. We cruise 7 1/2 miles down river, turn around and return. to dock in 2 hours. Our tickets are non-refundable based on food and staff designed to meet the number of people booked.

The food was horrible. There was no variety and small children had to eat spicy food. The chicken was bland, but spicy and the potatoes were undercooked. The gumbo tasted like dishwater. However the pasta was GREAT. The boat is beautiful. The music is as fantastic and we even took a picture with the captain. It’s just not something I would do again.

We post our menu on our site in the event that guests want to know what is being served in advance. We tend to under-season as we have people from everywhere as guests and they all have different palates. But we regret that you did not enjoy your cruise in its entirety

Staff were friendly, music was nice. I wasn't able to get the dinner option sold out very quickly. The snack bar food wasn't good thick breaded shrimp
