For $80.00 for two of us I think was too much. They hand out a headphone and speaker in several languages. not sanitary to us as many use those same headphones .So we didn't put the earphones in our ears. would prefer a person speaking as to what your seeing. wouldn't do this cruise again.

We really enjoyed this cruise. We had the perfect day for being on the water (blue sky and no wind), the cruise might not be so much fun in poor weather. The cruise boat has an open top deck and an enclosed lower deck which includes a bar. We were able to be on the open deck where the views were good. I suspect that views would not be so good - especially looking up at the Golden Gate Bridge - from the enclosed deck. Our boat was not too crowded and so we were able to move around the upper deck, get to the rail and stern and take photographs without getting in other people's way. There is a good, and very informative, commentary provided via personal audio equipment that you are provided with when you board. This can be set to, I think, 13 languages. It worked well. The cruise follows the bay shore of San Francisco with commentary on the City, the fire and landmarks en route before passing under the Golden Gate Bridge then turning eastwards, under the bridge again, giving commentary on the North shoreline, Angel Island and finally passing close to Alcatraz Island. I think the trip really worth while and we enjoyed it. It costs $32 per person. Afterwards we did discover that small fishing boats offered the same cruise for half the price from the fishing harbour on Jefferson, to the west of Fisherman's Wharf. However I cannot vouch for the quality of these trips at all.
