The entrance of SUMMIT One Vanderbilt is located on the Main Concourse Level of Manhattan’s Grand Central Terminal, inside Vanderbilt Passage.

All SUMMIT tickets are timed. You MUST arrive at your scheduled time, which is indicated on your ticket. SUMMIT operates at full capacity. You might not be able to get in if arriving more than 20 minutes after the time indicated on your ticket.

Any late arrival is subject to availability and a rescheduling fee

Wear comfortable shows. Stiletto heels, steel toe boots, sports cleats and other footwear that can damage mirrored flooring are not permitted.
Outside food and beverage, smoking or e-cigarettes, large packages, suitcases, or weapons of any kind will not be permitted beyond the security checkpoint.
There is no storage for person items. Large bags, large backpacks and luggage are not permitted.

The views are amazing. We recommend getting tickets for and hour and a half before sunset is so that you reach the top terrace just in time for it. Its a twist to your classic tall building with a view. The rooms are nice and good for taking original photos. Do take sunglasses because theres a lot of reflection from the sun and it can be annoying (if you forget them they lend you sunglasses for free). We got the ticket that included the drink. Its a regular pre-made drink, nothing impressive, but its nice to have something to drink during the sunset. Overall, good afternoon expierence. The whole thing takes 2 hours (depends on how slow you want to go in each room).

Visited Summit with 2 teen boys over February break and we all loved it! Its not just an observation deck but a unique multi sensory experience. The rooms were fun and trendy, views were spectacular and sunset was beautiful. We lucked out with a warm sunny day in Feb and got to enjoy the outdoor area where we stayed for the sunset. Make sure you get tickets to the summit that includes the glass elevator at the top. Some people thought they bought them but didn’t and couldn’t experience the last part. As for some of the complaints: yes, it is busy but it is a NY experience so I’m not sure what they expected. Everywhere in NY is busy. You will spend less time waiting here than at the Empire State Building however you can buy VIP tickets for the Empire State Building but not Summit which would be one of my recommendations. My only other recommendation would be to have the workers move people along for the standing on the glass panels. All in all this we had a great experience from start to finish and will be back to do it again.
