Overview

Join us aboard the iconic schooner, Suncoast Horizon and step aboard our 2 hour sailing excursion. Feel the wind as it glides us through the picturesque waters of Treasure Island and Gulf of Mexico. Come face to face with nature and experience the natural beauty under sail.

Our trips include complementary soda and bottled water, BYOB is allowed. Cooler with ice available and restroom aboard. Great music and awesome captains! While our daily mission is to sail in the Gulf of Mexico, occasionally weather conditions prohibit such and our trips will take place in the calmer waters of Boca Ciega Bay.

I ran sailing charters in Maine so I'm familiar with the amount of effort that goes into an afternoon sail. I came away from my day sail on Suncoast Sailing with huge appreciation of Capt David and Crew Julie. Their attention to the comfort of their passengers (us) was lovely; they were genuinely interested in us and wanted us to enjoy ourselves. Most anyone can sail...but few can sail and be as warm and gracious as our captain and crew were. In addition, the vessel itself was unique (being a schooner) and I appreciated how well handled it was. An outstanding afternoon :)

Awesome sailing adventure. We sat in the very bow of the vessel in comfortable bean bag chairs. We had a wonderful time and both Captain and his helper were amazing. We felt comfortable and safe, we also were asked several times if we needed anything. We highly recommend this experience and it was the highlight of our anniversary trip to Treasure Island. Thank you Suncoast Sailing for the great memories. We will be back!

We called and asked to change the date because of the weather and they were very accommodating. We arrived early to get the best seat on board. The crew was attentive and very welcoming. The sailboat tour was the highlight of our trip!
