I cannot say enough about this company. We didn’t book with Monument Valley Tribal Tours, but with a different company - let me explain. All tours appear to meet in the same spot, and so we were waiting for our guide along with another couple. We were 15-20 minutes past our pickup time and our guide (with the other company) hadn’t shown. I tried calling the company with no success. We didn’t really have a solution. Then Cheryl from Tribal arrived for the tour with the other couple. She realized immediately that there was a problem, and graciously tried to fix it by attempting to contact the company we had booked with. She offered to take us on her tour, and stated that the details would be worked out between the two companies afterwards. At this point, the other company did call me, and we said we would go along with Tribal Tours. A bumpy start to be sure! But our experience in the end was spectacular and so memorable. Cheryl is an incredible tour guide, and if you’re lucky enough to get her, you are very fortunate. We visited many of the popular spots in Monument Valley, as well as the lesser-travelled places that you are able to access on a guided tour. Cheryl shared details about her heritage and Navajo culture, as well as personal stories which were very informative. We learned some of the language and stories about the Creator and Mother Earth and about the spiritual meaning that exists in Monument Valley. It was a great experience and we are very appreciative that Cheryl from Tribal Tours adopted us for her tour. Her kindness and the effort to go above-and-beyond will not be forgotten. Thank you Cheryl and thank you Monument Valley Tribal Tours.

My daughter and I did the sunrise tour. Marjorie was our guide. She was excellent in every aspect of our tour. She told us about how her family had lived in the area for many generations. She was extremely knowledgeable about local flora and fauna, history of the people that lived here for centuries, where the best photo ops were, and where all the best historical sites were found. It felt like we became family to a certain extent. We highly recommend Marjorie as a guide, if you can… request her… you won’t be disappointed.
