I was staying in Bluff, so I had to get up quite early to make the 40 minute drive to the hotel where the tour meets at 6 AM, but no biggie. We loaded onto open air vehicles and headed down the steep bumpy descent into the valley. Not only did we see the sunrise, but we were so incredibly fortunate to catch the full moon shining mystically over the Three Sisters, it was absolutely breathtaking! I can't remember the guide's name, but he was informative and friendly and ended up singing a Navaho song for us while we were stopped at Big Hogan to take some photos. What a moving experience for our group. This was such a great tour and I'm really glad I found time to squeeze it into my trip. Doing this sunrise tour instead of later tours really avoids all the swarms of people we encountered once we made it back to the hotel at 9 AM. The scenery was just so beautiful, you won't regret spending the money to do this. But, definitely wear long pants and have a coat/hat because even in September, it was really cold that morning.
