What To Expect

Gansett Cruises

Break away from the typical harbor boat tour and take a quiet, relaxing, and delightful cruise of Newport Harbor and Narragansett Bay's East Passage aboard a traditionally restored 50-foot lobster boat. Watch the sun set in a comfortably cushioned and shaded deck, or from the top 'sunny side' deck. The guides, many of whom grew up on these waters, are enthused to share the legends and rich history of their home port. On every cruise, there's something special and complimentary from the galley that is representative of Rhode Island cuisine and culture. Guests on board discover the true flavor of The Ocean State, all compliments of the Captain. Sunset cruisers will enjoy a quahog "stuffie" and champagne to toast their relaxing evening on the water. The cash bar on board serves a selection of Narragansett Beer, Newport Vineyard white wines, and other Rhode Island signature drinks.

Patrick had great shoes and an even better sense of humor. We had an amazing time learning about the sea life of Newport and witness spectacular views. Don’t bother coming to Newport if you’re not going to book a Gansett Cruise!

This was absolutely the most wonderful experience. I loved it so much I went 5 times in three weeks in Newport. My tour guide was Chris who was informative and pleasant. The Narragansett Bay is spectacularly beautiful - truly unforgettable. The boat is immaculate, comfortable and safe. The captain is a pro and does a great job. They offer a complimentary beverage - either a frozen Dell's lemonade or what's called a coffee cabinet which is a coffee milkshake. It's the most delicious coffee milkshake I've ever had. You can sit down stairs which is outside with an overhead offering some protection from the sun or you can sit upstairs which is outside and completely open. Either level gives you a full view of the gorgeous surroundings. I can't wait to go back next summer!
