We were pretty excited about booking this, and it lived up to its expectations.
We were a little concerned after we did the booking that we didn't have a specific "address" to meet the host at to start the ride. We had a bit of back and forth texts about various things, and we kept asking for an "address". What we got was coordinates, which concerned us. It shouldn't have, as when we put the coordinates into Uber (and maps) it gave a specific location of the Uber driver to take us.
We were met by Charlie, right on time. He then set us up, saddling horses, doing the paperwork, getting water etc. We then rode off (literally) into the sunset.
We rode for the solid hour as advertised, in the beautiful hills. It was a fairly sedentary ride, which was good given that 3 of us hadn't been on horses before the and other 2 minimal. The horses were very well mannered and it was a pleasure spending the time with them.
After the ride we had a basic bbq dinner, with ribs, corn bread, beans and a blueberry pie.
My notes to anyone looking to do this ride are: 1. make sure you arrange your transport and get there on time (or slightly early). 2. Don't freak out about the coordinates, they work in Uber/Lyft etc. 3. Enjoy the experience and don't read too much into anything else.
