Where to begin... Booking the cruise was super easy, and the website is user-friendly. The directions and details to get to the dock also added to the ease of preparing for our trip. So, me and my 2 girlfriends did the sunset cruise. Queen Anne’s Revenge is a gorgeous boat; will great amenities! I’ve been on quite a few boats, and this one is top notch! Love that it’s easy to move around on, it’s clean and up to date, and comfy bean bag seating at the front makes the views that much more amazing! From the moment we got to the dock, Captain Aaron took great care of us! We were able to bring on our own beverages (of the adult variety 😉) and Capt. Aaron even had some wine and snacks for us too! He was so accommodating, friendly, and funny! Like another review said, it was like sailing with an old friend! Even more importantly, he knows his stuff and that ocean! He had heard of a whale that had been hanging out nearby and with his eagle eyes (and binoculars) he found it and got us up close and personal to a huge grey whale! It was a truly once in a lifetime experience! The other crew member (Maya) was also extremely entertaining when she wasn’t lounging in her state room.... did I mention, Maya is a PUG?! 😂 The sunset cruise seems like it would be the best choice because aside from the beautiful sunset, the San Diego “skyline” all lit up is a sight to see! It was extremely relaxing. Overall, this was a fun girls night and something we can talk about for years to come! I can’t wait to go sailing again with Cast Off Sailing!

It was a little cold for San Diego in May (60s) and overcast. In spite of this, we thoroughly enjoyed our sunset sail. The weather worked to our advantage because we were the only ones on board. Sailing with Aaron felt as though we were out boating with a friend. He offered wine and snacks throughout the cruise. It was the highlight of our short trip to San Diego, and we both agreed that we would do this again when we return, hopefully with better weather! Very relaxing way to spend an evening.
