Sunset Tree Climb at Silver Falls State Park

Overview

When weighing the options for a unique adventure, family friendly experience, or looking for a must do adventure, this should be at the top of your list. No experience necessary, but you must be 8 years or older.
For the first hour we will get equipped, practice, and learn how to use the equipment to climb giant trees. Then we will take off on a short hike before climbing some of the tallest trees in the world. Around 200-300 feet high into the canopy of rare giant old-growth trees and experience an adventure that seems to take you out of this world. This is your chance to do a new and unique eco-tour activity, less than .01% of the population has yet to do! During the intro tree climb you will learn the basic skills of recreational tree climbing and rappelling, as you move your way high into the upper canopy with gorgeous views of ancient forest and wildlife.
This experience is like nothing you have never experienced before.

The experience was amazing, we had a fantastic time. Leo was a great guide, that really helped us and let us experience it at our own pace. Leo helped us with the training, felt very safe and secure. It was amazing to see how birds see the world, albeit more challenging for us land-dwellers. Totally worth it

What an amazing thing to do! Seriously this has been one of the coolest single-day adventures of my life. Leo, our guide, is a really unique and wonderful individual who knows and cares about the forest as much as the experience. Leo went above and beyond to make sure we had the best possible time, and we got really lucky to have a very small group of likeminded people going on this sunset climb together. I'm a very shy person so for me, the most nerve-wracking part of this experience was doing it alongside strangers, but the hike in to the tree was ample time for bonding before experiencing one of the more challenging things I've ever done. I could go on and on but I'll leave it at this: If you're considering tree climbing, DO THIS! No ragrets. Also, all the gear is provided but bring some extra dollars to buy yourself a pair of the sweet gloves or shee-wees available! Seriously so cool.

A new and exciting experience. I took my wife for her birthday and at first she didn't think she could make it. But with a little support and perseverance She did it. 280 foot tree and a gorgeous view. Leo was our guide and he was great company. Thank you for a surreal experience
