Sunset Tree Climb at Silver Falls State Park

Overview
When weighing the options for a unique adventure, family friendly experience, or looking for a must do adventure, this should be at the top of your list. No experience necessary, but you must be 8 years or older.
For the first hour we will get equipped, practice, and learn how to use the equipment to climb giant trees. Then we will take off on a short hike before climbing some of the tallest trees in the world. Around 200-300 feet high into the canopy of rare giant old-growth trees and experience an adventure that seems to take you out of this world. This is your chance to do a new and unique eco-tour activity, less than .01% of the population has yet to do! During the intro tree climb you will learn the basic skills of recreational tree climbing and rappelling, as you move your way high into the upper canopy with gorgeous views of ancient forest and wildlife.
This experience is like nothing you have never experienced before.

You don't know this should be on your life bucket list because you haven't heard of it but it absolutely should! This experience was absolutely incredible! Cannot recommend it highly enough! FiancƩ and I arrived at 4pm, completed training, completed a 2 mile stunning uphill hike, climbed a 600 year old 300' Douglas fir which stands on the top of a large hill overlooking the whole valley, watched a majestic sunset while sitting on a branch 20' from the top of the tree. Rappelled down in the dark using blacklight headlamps, then hiked out through this amazing forest in the dark using headlamps. Took about 5.5 hours total. Our guide Brennan was awesome. It is pretty physical but if you can hike uphill outdoors then you can get up this tree. They have a motorized ascender option so you can take that special someone who may be getting too old for this level of physical work. Are we sore? yes. Are we happy about it? Absolutely!!! Would we do it again? In a second!!!

This is a one of a kind experience that I highly recommend, I did the sunset climb and was in aww sitting 300ft in the tree watching the sunset. I felt comfortable the whole way up and down. The guides Tim and Brennan were exceptional at teaching us how to use the equipment and made sure everything was safe for us to use.

The whole experience was wonderful! Our guide, Brennan, was professional and careful. He explained the process and did a nice job of guiding. The experience of using the ascenders and descenders took some getting used to but we did it! The views from the top were amazing and rich and the experience of engaging with a 300 foot tree awe-inspiring. We would like to go again!
