Overview

Monterey Bay is one of the greatest places in the world to find whales and with the added bonus of a sunset viewing in the summer/fall months, you can't go wrong! Each tour is narrated by a Naturalist/Marine Biologist onboard who can find the wildlife, tell you fascinating facts about the animals, and answer all of your questions! Our boats are smaller in order to provide a more intimate and personal experience for all of our guests.

-2.5-3 hour tour
-Snacks, sodas, water, beer/wine available onboard for purchase

We went to see some whale and we did just that! Remember to wear something warm because it can get really cold. Staff was really attentive and energetic

We drove away for the show and it was cancelled... I'm disappointed. I'm waiting for my refund...the person who notified me about the cancellation was a bit rude

Unfortunately, ocean conditions can sometimes deteriorate quickly here in the Monterey Bay and Captains will have to make the call to cancel to ensure passengers safety. While we only saw one whale on our trip due to the weather this company went out of their way to make sure we were still satisfied. Very few companies make their customers their priority and Discovery Whale Watching is one of them. I highly recommend them and look forward to returning again very soon.
