Our mistake was booking a 2pm surf lesson for two, only to find out later that there were no waves. Even though our instructor was aware that other schools had canceled their afternoon lessons due to the conditions, no one informed us before we booked. Our instructor did their best to make the lesson worthwhile, but unfortunately, there were no waves at all. They even mentioned that they would notify the next group about the conditions to give them the option to cancel, something we weren’t given.
I’ve tried reaching out to the school for at least a partial refund, calling four times throughout the day and leaving a voicemail, but I haven’t received any response. I hope future customers are informed of the conditions beforehand so they have a chance to cancel and avoid the same disappointment we experienced.
