My two teen boys had fun. It’s a bit pricey for the time frame, It’s definitely a splurge expense and not something you could do all the time. But my teens had fun experiencing surfing and caught a few waves their first time out.

Wife and I brought 3 of our grandkids, ages 8-12, and all 3 took surfing lessons from Big Dave himself! He’s very patient and impactful connecting w/ the kids. All 3 made it up on multiple waves, the Highlight of the trip. We are taking them surfing again today. Big Dave has a classy operation with a highly experienced Expert Team. Conveniently on Waikiki Beach. His place was extremely busy so best to reserve in advance

I loved my Father's Day gift of learning to surf with my boys on our first trip to Hawaii. There were 11 people in our group and I was pretty sure I booked a private tour, but it was still fun. Surf instructors Chris and Josh were great. They helped the kids to ensure they didn't get too far out of reach and helped my struggling wife who couldn't stay on her surf board. They just seemed like good dudes and really enjoyed the experience.
