We booked and got moved to diff company - less hours, not private. Our guy was great, but wasn’t worth the $$

Pauli was an outstanding instructor. I have taken lessons a number of times while on vacation in Hawai’i over the past 15 years. I finally got up! So did my teen-age girl. Pauli provided a great balance between instruction and encouragement. A super experience. 74 is not too old to learn.

Being a first timer, I was not sure how I will be able to handle the waves. Also, my first time going a little deeper off the shore. The instructors were patient and very helpful. It took me time to get adjusted to the waves. I was knocked off the board the first few times and struggled a bit to get back on the board, but every time my instructors Josh and Cody encouraged me to keep going. I would recommend a private lesson for a beginner so you can get more reps and attention.
