Seriously, our favorite excursion while honeymooning in Hawaii. The crew at Big Dave’s was so friendly and extremely helpful. We felt safe and well-informed. It was truly like we were out learning to surf with a group of friends. We had a small group of 5 people, with 3 instructors (one who doubled as a videographer). We had initially opted out of buying the video package, but after seeing the captured footage, we were eager to purchase it. Everyone in our group had equal opportunity to catch waves, and we truly felt like our instructors cared about us having an enjoyable experience. Mahalo to this excursion and it’s crew!

Everything went smoothly and I enjoyed it very much! Big thanks to Lee, who is an excellent instructor for beginners, I had an amazing experience! I'm really glad I came across Big Wave Dave! I absolutely recommend them!

This was my husband and daughter’s first attempt at surfing. It is much harder than it looks. Lee their instructor was very nice. He brought them out to the waves instructing them what to do and which wave to try to stand and surf. He was very patient with my daughter who grew very tired right away. Her arms became really tired so she had a hard time trying to paddle back to shore. He pulled her all the way back in safely. He helped my husband back in too. Lee was definitely a great instructor for first timers.
