Peter and Josh did an exceptional job teaching our four family members the fundamentals of surfing. We got up 4 times or more each. The teaching was so amazing that my teenagers were able to surf on their own by the end of the lesson. Check out the shop too! We bought amazing surf gear and had a delicious lunch after the lesson. The pasta salad and the sandwiches were yummy! Wear your SPF 50 or higher on your neck, shoulders, and legs and rash guard is a must! Mahalo to Big Wave Dave surf and coffee!

My husband did a surfing lesson while I went to the pool with the kids. He loved it and was able to ride a number of waves. The surfers teased him about being a purist - no booties, no rasher, no leash - which is what happens when you don’t think about what you need to bring while surfing. Lol. So maybe think about this before you go. He loved the experience.

Excellent instructions, everyone in our group got up their first time! Paul and his assistant (didn't get his name) were so patient and encouraging. I felt very safe and it was done in a perfect location for beginners. I'm doing it again with them. So much fun!!!
